Hyojung (Kelly) Shin has been appointed as a judge for the 2026 IBA Annual Conference Scholarships, organized by the International Bar Association (the "IBA").

The scholarship program is designed to support young lawyers around the world who face financial barriers to attending the IBA Annual Conference. It is one of the IBA's flagship initiatives for nurturing the next generation of legal professionals and promoting diversity and inclusion within the profession. Recipients are awarded a range of benefits, including a waived registration fee for the Annual Conference, a contribution toward travel and accommodation costs, two years of IBA membership, and a waived registration fee for a future conference.

The 2026 IBA Annual Conference will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from October 4 to 9, 2026. As one of the largest international legal gatherings in the world - drawing more than 5,000 lawyers from over 130 jurisdictions and featuring over 200 working sessions - it provides the backdrop for the scholarship program, in which Hyojung (Kelly) Shin will serve as a judge evaluating applicants from across the globe.

Hyojung (Kelly) Shin currently also serves as the Diversity & Inclusion Officer of the IBA Arbitration Committee, where she works to advance diversity and inclusion in the field of international arbitration.
